I'll dominate 'serious boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair came face-to-face to publicize next month's bout.

Ex twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving huge earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As both boxers met for the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
